In 2014, The Christi Center will mark the 1,000th tree planted in the Memorial Tree Groves. Trees have been planted at Lady Bird Lake in Austin (1991-2000) and Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock (2001-2014). The tree groves are a living memorial to loved ones, and many families gather there to reflect, picnic, and enjoy the restorative powers of nature.
The 2014 Dedication ceremony will be held on October 25 at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock. This will be our final planting at Old Settler’s Park. For more information, please call us at 512-467-2600.
To reserve your tree, please download, fill out and return the form: CC_MemorialGrove2014_flyer.
Payment arrangements are welcome, but we are limited to 33 trees this year. We recommend reserving your tree as soon as possible.
For more information on the Memorial Tree Grove Dedication ceremony, or to find out how you can be a part of the 2014 (20th) grove, please contact Lara George.
If you have planted a tree in the groves at Lady Bird Lake (formerly known as Town Lake) or Old Settlers Park, you can access the maps we have here. We are looking to complete the collection, if you have a map from one of the missing years, please contact us!
