A HUGE THANK YOU to every sponsor, donor, individual, and volunteer who made our first Camp Zebra a memorable experience! We can’t wait to see everyone next year!
Camp started daily with connection games, a therapeutic activity, lunch, and a fun afternoon surprise sponsored by local business partners providing lawn games and bounce houses, Kona Ice snow cones, Austin Bead Box memory bracelets, an Amy’s ice cream social, and gourmet popcorn from Cornicopia! Many snacks were provided throughout the day for our hungry campers, and Christi Center thanks Big Frog and Kong Screenprinting for providing t-shirts for campers and staff.
Afternoon surprises began on Monday with games from Triangle Lawn Games, including giant Connect 4, ladder ball, and ringtoss. Tuesday’s delicious lunch was provided by Bird Bird Biscuit, followed by London from Austin Bead Box, facilitating an afternoon of memory bracelet making.
Thundercloud Subs catered Wednesday’s lunch, and Austin Bounce House brought the inflatable fun with a bounce house, soccer darts, and a HUGE velcro wall!
On Thursday, the campers were surprised by Kona Ice parking in Christi Center’s driveway for our campers and staff.
Our Friday Finale was an Ice Cream and Movie Social, generously provided by Amy’s Ice Cream and Backyard Starz. We watched Minions and enjoyed gourmet flavored popcorn by Cornucopia.
