Love Letter to Nancy/“Momma”

By September 23, 2025No Comments

Momma,

What do I even say to you? All I can say is that I love you. It is not because you’re my mother but because you’re my hero. You were the woman I hoped to become. You were my inspiration. It has been the greatest honor and blessing being your baby girl.

Thank you for teaching me about life, happiness, and more importantly about love. Thank you for supporting me in every way. Your unconditional love helped me find peace and happiness.

This is not goodbye. I know in my heart and soul that we will meet again. Maybe not in this lifetime, but we will definitely meet again. So, this not a goodbye but an “I love you,” to take with you. So fly away, my hero. Know that you will always been be with me in my heart. I will eventually be OK because every time I look up and see the stars in the night sky, I will think of you. I will then know you are watching over me.

Your story doesn’t end just because your life ended. It is just the beginning. So, go on and fly high with the rest of the angels. No matter where this all leads me, please know I will always be your baby girl. And you will always be my hero, my inspiration, my guardian angel.

So, go be with stars from up above. I will always miss you and love you. Take your wings and fly higher than any eagle. Soar high in the sky. I am blessed to have called you “Momma”. For that, I am forever grateful.

Love always,
Gracie
