Will and Living Trust

When writing you Will, please include The Christi Center and your legacy will continue after your lifetime. No charitable gifts can be made from your estate without a stated designation through a will. To do so, please use the following bequest language:

“I, [name], give, devise and bequeath to The Christi Center, Inc., the sum of [$ ______ or ____ % of my estate].”

Not everyone wants to commit to making a gift in their wills or estates. Some prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using:

  • IRAs and retirement plans
  • Life insurance policies
  • Commercial annuities

It only takes three simple steps to make this type of gift. Here’s how to name The Christi Center as a beneficiary:

  1. Contact your retirement plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution for a change-of-beneficiary form.
  2. Decide what percentage (1 to 100) you would like us to receive and name us, along with the percentage you chose, on the beneficiary form.
  3. Return the completed form to your plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution.

The Christi Center cannot provide direct legal or financial advice related to planned giving, and advises all individuals to seek independent counsel from qualified estate planning attorneys and wealth managers before making a decision on a planned gift.

“The Christi Center has a very caring staff. The first day was the hardest for me, my emotions were at the highest possibly due to the unknown. I was not sure I would even be able to share. I was made to feel at home by everyone around me. After sharing my deepest feelings I actually felt a great relief. It was as though this was what I needed to start my healing journey.”

“Grief is expensive. The individual therapy for my family is hundreds every month during this acute phase. My son died only 5 months ago. It is so painful that not only did I lose my son, but I’m also having to pay for his last days in the hospital and for so much therapy dealing with losing him. So having this free, no financial pressure environment gives my family tremendous relief.”

“The Christi Center was such an important part of our healing—we know we are not alone. All our stories here are different, but we are all here to find our new normal. My family’s journey was not easy and I wouldn’t wish loss on anyone, but it was our journey. We came out stronger on the other side.”
