We start blogging again this week after a much-needed holiday break! Look for new installments of our Diverse Expressions of Grief series, written by Hilary Dockray, updates on our Healing Garden from Angela Carver, and later this month we’ll introduce you to our Interns!

The new year starts with chilly days, and it can be a challenge to keep our spirits light and lifted up – even for those of us who have not experienced a loss. The Christi Center strives as always to uplift you with comfort and hope.

One thing I noticed as I drove up the Christi Center driveway on January 2nd, is that flowers in the Healing Garden were still blooming! Despite the freezing and near-freezing temperatures and little sunlight, there were pink cosmos, yellow marigolds, pink salvia, purple verbena, and more, all in full bloom. I smiled, and remembered that nature always speaks to me.

What are you taking comfort in now, during these wintery days? We would love to hear from you! Please share in the comments section below, and remember you can sign up to receive our new blog posts right in your inbox!
