As you may have seen in the newsletter or on social media, we are thrilled to announce the kickoff of our Young Professionals Group at The Christi Center! Grief affects all ages, professions and social statuses. If it hasn’t affected you personally, it’s probably affected someone important to you.
We are inviting all Young Professionals to join us for an evening of information, networking and fun at The Christi Center on June 15, from 6-8PM.
We want to find new and diverse voices to help us spread the message of hope that The Christi Center offers. Who are we looking for? Dynamic people new to the non-profit world, former and current volunteers, members that feel ready to give back, and people from any profession that feel they can help us with the areas where we rely on volunteers help make The Center run. Kids’ meals, crafts, Second Stage Mondays, Communications, Event Planning? Do you think you can be an asset to The Center in any way? We want you!
We’ve been asked about how to know if you are a Young Professional. We came to the conclusion that if you think you might be, you probably are. You can be someone straight out of college that’s looking to make a difference, to someone that went to graduate school after 15 years in a different profession. Please don’t think you’re ‘too old’ or ‘not professional enough’. We are happy to welcome anyone who believes in what we’re doing and wants to help.
